zigzag is our really good unlimited travel ticket, that means you can travel anywhere across trentbarton land. Just buy a zigzag on the first bus you travel on and go anywhere you want. zigzag can only be purchased after 9am Mondays to Fridays and after 4am on weekends and Bank Holiday Mondays.
Can you still pay cash on Trent Barton buses?

Can I use my mango card on the red arrow?
If you’re connecting onto red arrow from any trentbarton bus, just buy a zigzag or saver– you can use these tickets at no extra cost. Your mango app is available to use too. These upgrades are also available at the same price to Robin Hood day and season ticket holders.
Can you pay by card on Skylink?
Just ask your friendly driver for your ticket, Kinchkard or top-up amount (up to £30) then hold your contactless card or device on to the contactless reader. You can also travel contactless or use contactless payments with your mobile devices i.e. Apple Pay & Google Pay. You may be able to save more money on your fare.

How do you pay for Trent bus?
Our ticket machines now allow you to travel using your contactless card or device. Travel contactless is a quick and easy way to pay for your travel, and you’ll always pay the right fare. Just tap on at the start of your journey, and tap off before you leave. Simple.
What happens when you forget to tap off on a bus?
Customers just have to tap their bank card or phone on the ticket machine as they board the bus, then tap it again on the “exit reader” as they disembark. A bus company spokeswoman said: “You will be charged the full single fare to the end of the route, so always remember to tap off in order to pay the correct fare.”
Can you pay by card on the threes?
You can place your card or smart device on or just above the ticket machine reader. For contactless payments, please only do this once you have told the driver which ticket you would like. For travel contactless you just need to tap on at the ticket machine and tap off when you complete your journey.
How do you pay for Skylink?
VISA or Mastercard payment cards will be accepted, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. This is part of the roll out of contactless payment to all buses in the Lothian family fleet. The system has already been fitted to Lothian Country and East Coast Buses vehicles.
