In 2018, Thailand was the third largest producer of palm oil after Indonesia and Malaysia. 2 The majority of Thai oil palm production comes from over 120,000 smallholders. 3 Most of the palm oil production in Thailand is used in domestic consumption and biodiesel, with very little exported (Figure 1).
