EOG scores are ranked on a scale of one to four achievement levels, with the fourth achievement level being the highest. The exact number needed to reach each achievement level varies, depending on the subject.
Does EOG count this year?
The results will be used for learning purposes only in 2021. As of March 2021, the following changes have been made: To reduce stress for teachers and students in an already challenging year, End-of- Grade and End-of-Course test (EOG & EOC) results will not be used to rate schools or districts as they have in the past.
Are EOGs mandatory in NC?
The NC General Assembly has required all third graders to pass the reading End of Grade (EOG) test in order to avoid consequences such as retention or mandatory summer school. There are some exceptions, and some districts have received permission to use alternate measures.
Do you have to pass the EOG test?
Students must pass the grade 8 EOG tests and the North Carolina Test of Computer Skills to receive a diploma. Under the ABCs Accountability Program, North Carolina assigns ratings to show how well schools are performing.
How long does it take to get EOC scores back?
Your scores will be available to you within five to 20 days. In most cases, the scores will be available within five to seven days, but we may need up to 20 days to fully process your request, as we would if you accepted your scores on test day.
