Why Arai helmet is expensive?
Arai uses a single-piece inner shell, but it’s made up of multiple densities for structural integrity… but of course, this is more expensive to make. How are Arai helmets painted?
Because Arai shells use the least amount of resin possible to minimize weight, the shell surfaces are not smooth. So each shell is hand buffed with a special compound to create a smooth surface for painting. After passing inspection, each helmet receives its first coat of base paint by hand.

Should you buy the Arai xd-4 or the klim klim?

How does the sun peak work on the Arai?
The sun peak and visor on the Arai is held on with two plastic screws that were completely unaffected by dust, dirt and mud buildup around the hinge area. Regardless of how much gunk was thrown in there, the visor remained consistent to operate and remove/install despite the fact it’s not quick release like the other two helmets are.
