14 (AP) William Bendix, the actor, who played the father in “The Life of Riley” radio and television series, died today in Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 58 years old. Mr. Bendix, who entered the hospital last Tuesday, was suffering from lobar pneumonia and malnutrition resulting from a stomach ailment.
