Kings Island has announced its 2021 Season Operating Calendar and we look forward to welcoming you back for what is sure to be an AMAZING season. The park will officially open its gates to the general public on Saturday, May 15. A Gold and Platinum season passholder preview will happen the weekend prior on May 8 and 9.

How much are Kings Island tickets? Single-day regular tickets range from $47.99-$51.99 depending on the date, and any-day, single-use tickets are $52.99. Single-day and any-day junior and senior tickets are $39.99.
What age gets in free at Kings Island?
Children under the age of 3 do not require an admission ticket.
Has anyone been killed at Kings Island?
On June 9, two men, William Haithcoat, 20, and employee Darrel Robertson, 20, were killed and another, Timothy Binning, was hospitalized from electrocution after entering a shallow pond near the Oktoberfest beer garden. Later the same day, Candy Taylor, 32, fell from Flight Commander and also died.
Can I bring a backpack into Kings Island?
Kings Island prohibits things like bags, food and drinks, and sunglasses on some of its rides. In those instances, you’ll either need to store the items in a locker or leave them with a non-rider. Cash and credit cards are accepted at all lockers. Season Pass locker rentals are available for season ticket holders.
Can you smoke at Kings Island?
For the convenience of all our guests, smoking of any kind, including vapor and e-cigarettes, is only permitted in the designated smoking area outside the park’s main entrance. Smoking is not permitted inside Kings Island. Thank you for your cooperation.
Can I bring a water bottle into Kings Island?
No outside food, beverages or coolers are allowed to be brought into Kings Island or Soak City Water Park. Exceptions are made for Guests with special dietary needs to include food allergies and baby food and formula.
Can you wear sandals to Kings Island?
Wear tennis shoes, but take flip flops/sandals. You are allowed to bring backpacks to the park, and it will save you a lot of discomfort if you wear tennis shoes, but bring a pair of flips flops or sandals to change into for the water rides.
Does Kings Island give free water?
Drinks are not included. We recommend purchasing the All Season Souvenir Bottle or Season Pass Drink Plan for free drink refills* all season with your All Season Dining Plan purchase.

Can 50 year olds ride roller coasters?
“No one is ever too old to ride roller coasters,” amusement park expert and author Pete Trabucco said. “You can ride roller coasters as long as you’re physically able to.” Although children often have to be a minimum age to ride, upper age limits for an amusement ride are uncommon.
