Located in the heart of the world famous River Walk, Marriage Island is a favorite spot for lovers! This small intimate island is nicely shaded and designed for small ceremonies. Maximum of 20 people can be on the island which includes Bride, Groom and Officiant.

Can you get married in front of the Alamo?

Military ceremonies are allowed to take place in front of the Church. We do allow wedding receptions on the Alamo grounds, but La Vista Terrace is the only venue where you can also have your wedding ceremony in addition to the reception.

Has the Alamo been reopened?

After reopening the Alamo grounds on August 20th, the Alamo is happy to announce that visitors will be able to tour the inside of the Church starting Thursday, September 3. To help stop the spread of COVID-19, visitors will need to reserve their free ticket to enter the Church ahead of their visit on theAlamo.org.

Where do you get married at in San Antonio Texas?

Marriage licenses are recorded with the Bexar County Clerk’s office. In order to apply for a license, both applicants must meet certain requirements and must present themselves in person at the County Clerk Marriage office in the Paul Elizondo Tower (101 W. Nueva, Suite 120).
