As well as Katherine Gorge and Edith Falls in Nitimuluk National Park not surprisingly prohibiting dogs, dogs are also not allowed at the Katherine Hot Springs, another popular swimming spot close to the centre of town. Dogs are required to be kept on a leash.

Can You camp at Katherine Gorge without a permit?

If you don’t have transport you need to grab a taxi from Katherine to Katherine Gorge, the shuttle bus isn’t operating any more. (Same for people who prefer accommodation in town to camping).
