What is Bullhide leather?
Bullhide. Bullhide is also known as cowhide shoulder leather, although sometimes shrunk during the tanning process to enhance the heavy wrinkles and creases. Bullhide is normally thicker than dress leathers and exotics thereby protecting the foot inside the boot from thorns and other possible penetrating dangers.
How can you tell if a leather belt is real?
In general, if you try to pour a drop of water on a genuine leather belt, you will see that after a few seconds, leather will have absorbed the water without the tissues having altered. A fake leather belt, on the other hand, does not absorb water and the drop will remain there until you have dried it.
